Glendon Holand Johnson, 93, passed away Tuesday morning February 18, 2020. He was born on June 6, 1926 in Chicago, but grew up in Waukegan, IL. He began commercial fishing with his father aboard the Lilly B fish boat at a young age. He graduated from Waukegan T.H.S. in 1944. After serving in the U.S. Navy near the end of WWII, he used the GI Bill to attend Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. He graduated in 1951 and practiced Chiropractic in Waukegan, IL for 42 years before retiring to Door County, WI in 1993. Glen loved his family, boating, fishing, bowling and golf, and the beauty of Door County where his parents and grandparents were from.
Glen is survived by his wife Joan (Crawford) of 71 years, daughters Jan Johnson of Phoenix, AZ; Jill (Bill) Cornell of Schofield, WI; son Jeff (Earleen) of Libertyville, IL; and daughter Judy (Joe) Richardt of Gurnee, IL , ten grandchildren: Kelly, Mike, Keri(Newman) and Megan Cornell; Ryan, Brett, Tyler and Evan Johnson; Joe and Jenna (Hart)Richardt; and thirteen great grandchildren: Matthew, Haley and Emily Johnson; Katherine, Will, Charlotte and Jack Cornell; RJ Cornell; Natalie Newman; Hannah and Dominick Richardt; Holly and Jonah Hart.
He was preceded in death by his parents Tom and Swanhild Johnson, sister Arlene Trigg, and brother Tom Johnson.
