Earl Jarnagin, 77, of Zion, Illinois, died on Monday, November 23, 2009 at Vista Medical Center East in Waukegan, Illinois. Earl was born September 15, 1932 in Lohrville, Iowa and came to Zion in 1949. He was a member of Our Savior's Lutheran Church of Zion. Earl owned and operated Midwest Heating & Cooling Services in Waukegan, and later in Zion, for many years. Earl was extremely mechanically inclined as well as being an avid woodworker, having done some nice woodworking for the Church. Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Carol; one granddaughter, Staci (William) Stenson of Zion; and two sisters, Eileen (Donald) Meyers of Webster City, Iowa and Bonnie Kennedy of Manson, Iowa. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Kristine Wingo; and by his parents, Percy and Elma Jarnagin. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, November 28, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. at Our Savior's Lutheran Church, 1800 23rd Street, Zion, Illinois, with Pastor Jack Kelly officiating. Entombment will be private later at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion. Visitation will be Saturday, November 28th, from 9:30 a.m. until time of services at the Church.
