Elaine Lillian (nee Krapf) Hough, 91, of Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin, formerly of Zion, Illinois went peacefully to be with her Lord and Savior surrounded by family on March 14, 2015.
She was born on February 11, 1924 in Zion, Illinois and was a graduate of Zion Benton High School. She married Donald “Timer” Hough on June 26, 1943 and enjoyed 60 wonderful years together prior to his home going. She had a deep and abiding faith in her Lord and Savior and found great joy in loving and caring for her husband and family. She loved the outdoors, especially playing golf with her husband. Elaine was a faithful member of Immanuel Baptist Church of Kenosha, Wisconsin.
Elaine is survived by her children, Nancy Hough of Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin; Michael (Jean) Hough of Winthrop Harbor, Illinois; Timothy (Carmyn) Hough of Bristol, Wisconsin; Donald (Marilyn) Hough of Hayward, Wisconsin; and Cindy (Greg) Beem of Pleasant, Prairie, Wisconsin; grandchildren, Darcey (Chris) Visocnik, Becky (Phil) Huckeby, Jessie Hough, Megan (Bray) Grundy, Samantha (Jason) Butler, Logan Hough, Christine Hough, Julie (Trent) Brown, Daniel Hough, Benjamin (Jodi) Hough, Kathryn (Ben) Osborne and Allison Beem, P.C (Tonya) Walker, Adam (Liz) Nash, Caleb (Nyssa) Nash; seventeen great grandchildren; sister-in-law Merle Kyrk; and many nieces and nephews.
Elaine was preceded in death by her husband, Donald Hough; infant grandson, Jarrett Hough; parents, Jacob and Lena Krapf; sisters, Mabel (Jack) Periolot, Cynthia (Arthur) Capp; and brothers, Milburn (Eleanor) Krapf, Raymond (Nedra) Krapf, Vernon (Carol) Krapf, Leburn (Bernice) Krapf, and Emerson (Mae) Krapf.
The family would like to thank the wonderful staff at VITAS Hospice for their loving care. Also, a special thank you to Elaine’s loving care givers Susan Hendricks and Samantha Bojko.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday, March 19, 2015, at 11:00 a.m. at Immanuel Baptist Church, 6009 Pershing Blvd. in Kenosha, Wisconsin with Pastor David Dryer officiating. Entombment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion, Illinois. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. at the church just prior to services. The family would like to request that in lieu of flowers that donations be made to VITAS Innovative Hospice Care or Immanuel Baptist Church.
