Elizabeth “Betty” Jackola (nee Kastamo), 79, of Zion, IL and currently of Kenosha, WI died Tuesday, December 6, 2016 at home with her family by her side.
She was born September 30, 1937 in Waukegan, IL. Betty and her husband Paul were co owners of Small Car Motors in Beach Park, IL. She enjoyed knitting, cooking for family, and many other hobbies, but spending time with her grandchildren and family were her favorite.
Survivors include her husband, Paul Jackola; children, Rebecca Lard, Kathryn (Thomas) Cooper, Robert (Jodi) Jackola, Sharon (Timothy) Wynn, Bruce (Debbie) Jackola, Laura Stigall, Russell (Angie) Jackola, Ronald (Jan) Jackola and Kimberly (Thomas) Nowotarski; 47 grandchildren; 19 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; siblings, Raymond Kastamo and Jean (Eldon) Linna; and many nieces, nephews, cousins and close friends.
Betty was preceded in death by her parents, Leonard and Sylvia Kastamo; and siblings, James (Barbara) Kastamo and Ronald (Jean) Kastamo.
A visitation will take place Friday, December 9, 2016 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at First Apostolic Lutheran Church, 39372 Carol Ln., Beach Park, IL, and again on Saturday, December 10, 2016 from 9:00 until 10:00 a.m. at the church. A funeral service will follow on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. Interment will take place at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion, IL.
