Elizabeth Elaine Siems, 79, of Beach Park, IL, passed away peacefully on Friday, February 2, 2024.

Elizabeth was born on January 12, 1945 in Red Bay AL, she spent many productive years working for Avon Manufacturing and the Midwestern Regional Medical Center in Zion. In addition to her years producing custom-made drapery and home accessories (Whiteside Draperies).  She was admired and valued by clients and co-workers for her talent, and the exceptional quality of her work.  Her family, too, appreciated her remarkable artistic and creative work; she was an early practitioner of up-cycling, transforming common materials into charming, unique, and expressive creations.  She invested much time with family in her retirement years, first caring for her mother and in later years, opening her home to her widowed sister-in-law, Ann, and devoted niece, Sherri.

Survivors include, sister-in-laws Ann Bragg, and Irene Bragg; nieces Sherri Bragg, Shannon (David) Barber, Nancy Wilcox; and Theresa Reboulet; nephews Robert (Jodie) Bragg and Joseph (Kristy) Bragg; grandnieces Monica (Nick), Hillary (Alex), Maria-Rachel White, Sarah (Ryan), Lindsey (Xander), Sarah and Nicole; grandnephew Ryan ; great-grandnieces Kylie, Lily, Cecilia, Genevieve, and Marlie; great-grandnephews Ashton, Asher, Blaise, Dallan, Florian and Hail.

Elizabeth (“Aunt Libby”) is preceded in death by her parents, Mary Alma and Willie Lee Bragg; brothers Miller (Eileen), Joseph Bragg, and John Bragg; nephew-in-laws Ken Wilcox, Richard Reboulet; and many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends with whom she shared a lifetime of memories and shared experiences.

A Celebration of Life gathering will be held on, Friday, March 29, 2024 from 3:00 - 6:00 p.m.., at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, IL 60099. Inurnment will be on Saturday, March 30, 2024 at 10:00 a.m.. at Mt. Olivet, 1436 Kenosha Rd, Zion, IL 60099.

We honor and cherish her memory, mindful of the assurance of eternal life in Heaven, and her reunion with her Redeemer and with loved ones who have gone before.  Her family wishes to extend sincere thanks to her physicians and Hospice caregivers, as well as her extended family, neighbors and friends for their prayers, support, and many years of friendship. Peace be with you.

Lord, now let thou thy servant depart in peace, according to thy word.  Glory be to the Father, and to the Son, and to the Holy Spirit; As it was in the beginning, is now, and ever shall be, World without end. Amen.
