Eloise Fonville (aka-Tahira Rasheeda), 103, of Kenosha, died on Wednesday, June 20, 2007 at her home.
She was born June 19, 1904 in St. Louis, Missouri and came to Zion in 1978. She was a member of Ahmadiyya Muslim Community of Zion. In 1992, she retired from then American International Hospital (now Midwestern Regional Medical Center) of Zion.
Survivors include two children Nasira Razaa of Kenosha, Wisconsin and Clarence Dorn of Columbus, Ohio; nine grandchildren Harith, Aneesa, Aliyya, Sadika, Qudsia, Muneera, Idrees, Jameela and Hanif; numerous great-grandchildren; and several great-great grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband Bishop Cephus Fonville in 1977.
A funeral service will be held on Friday, June 22, 2007, at 10:00 a.m. at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion. Visitation will be Friday morning from 9:00 until 10:00 a.m. at the Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion.
