Elsie Jones

Elsie J. Jones, 83, of Kenosha, formerly of Waukegan, died on Thursday, July 27, 2006. Elsie was born August 28, 1922, in Wakefield, Michigan. She was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, and great-great-grandmother. She excelled at crafts and was a gifted seamstress. Survivors include four children, Karen (Ron) Levin of Winthrop Harbor, IL, Patricia (Richard) Naber of Waukegan, IL, Ronald (Karen) Jones of Paddock Lake, WI, and Brenda (Gerald) Lansbery of Florida; brother, Matt (Laila) Maki of Zion, IL; sister, Esther Hill of Waukegan, IL; and numerous nieces and nephews and extended family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnnie P. "J.J." Jones in 1999; and sisters, Lempi Mustapa and Sally Letcher. A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, August 1, 2006, at 11:00 a.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion. Interment will follow at Highland Memorial Park, Libertyville. Friends may greet the family on Tuesday from 9:00 a.m. until the time of service at the Funeral Home.
