Erasmo Villarreal

Erasmo P. Villarreal (83), of Round Lake, IL passed away on Sunday, August 11, 2024. Erasmo “Eddie” was born in Big Wells, Texas to proud parents Isidro and Carmen P. Villarreal. Erasmo was a man of few words and a very big heart. He loved to be outside working on something and he was always in his work boots. He also enjoyed cooking outside on his grill. He loved to read his bible with his cup of coffee and some bread & butter that he shared with his bird, Rocky. At one point or another he would find a way to leave you with words of wisdom like “Never take a wooden nickel” and “it’s the thought that counts”. Erasmo was married to Erlinda who since passed (2006). Loving father to Erasmo Jr., Esmeralda, the late Ramon “Ray” (Rosalie), Ruben, Irma (David G) and David (the late Jeanette). Survived by his children, Margie, Valerie (Edgar), Carmen (Robert), Carolina (Ariel), Raquel (Gilberto).Loving grandfather to 26 grandchildren, and loving great-grandfather to 20 great-grandchildren. His legacy will continue through the love and memories he left with all whom he touched.

Visitation will take place Thursday, August 22, 2024 from 10:00 am to 11:00 am with a funeral service beginning at 11:00 am at the Congdon Funeral Home.
