Erin Nicole Hamm, 34, of Winthrop Harbor, IL, passed away unexpectedly surrounded by her family on September 21, 2022.
Erin was born July 27, 1988 in Waukegan, IL. Erin was a kind and passionate person and a wonderful loving mother to her son. She enjoyed writing, drawing, and photography. She was passionate about animals and an advocate for rescuing dogs. Erin was a Chicago Cubs and Blackhawks fan and enjoyed attending sporting events with her family.
She is survived by her son, Julian; father and mother, Rick and Donna Hamm; sister Rachel (Jose Mayorquin) Hamm; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, and many close friends.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandparents, James and Zadie Hamm; maternal grandmother, Naomi Antonian; and maternal grandfather, Carl Brandon.
A visitation will be held on Monday, September 26, 2022 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, IL. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. at the Congdon Funeral Home. Interment will follow at Ascension Cemetery, Libertyville, IL.
