Frank Loquidis, 90, of Waukegan, IL, died on Sunday, July 21, 2013, at Vista Medical Center East, Waukegan, IL.
He was born November 23, 1922, in North Chicago, IL, and was a graduate of Waukegan High School. Frank married his late wife, May Leivick on June 14, 1946, in Waukegan. He served with the United States Navy during World War II and was a member of the Waukegan American Legion, Post # 281, where he had served as a Past Commander and District Commander. Frank was retired from Sealtest Dairy where he had worked for over 30 years and also retired from Zion-Benton Township High School.
Survivors include his children, Carol (James) Hinch of Punta Gorda, FL, Frank (Cindy) Loquidis of AL, Shirley Olsen of Beach Park, IL, Tim Loquidis of Beach Park, IL, and Dawn Ochoa of Waukegan, IL; six grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; nieces and nephews and other family.
He was preceded in death by his wife, May; and son, Pat.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 24, 2013, at from 6:00-8:00 p.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, IL. A Funeral Service will be held on Thursday, July 25, 2013, 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home . Interment with Military Honors will be held at Northshore Garden of Memories, North Chicago, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to the American Legion Child Welfare Foundation, P.O. Box 1055, Indianapolis, IN 46206-1055
