Frederick Catlin, 77, of Winthrop Harbor, IL, formerly of West Allis, WI, died March 27, 2018.
Frederick was born August 30, 1940 in Milwaukee, WI. He graduated from West Allis Central High School in 1958 and went on to serve in the United States Air Force from 1958-1965 as an electrician at Elgin Air Force Base in Florida. Following his honorable discharge from the Air Force, he was employed by Allis-Chalmers, Miller Brewery, and Briggs & Stratton Corporation from which he retired in 2002. Frederick was a member of the International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers Local Union in Milwaukee, WI.
He is survived by his wife, Susan Catlin; children, Lisa (John) Catlin-Weiner, Donna (Rich McNelis) Catlin, and Linda Devine; grandchildren, John and Julian Weiner, and Tyler Devine; four step-children, ten step-grandchildren, and seventeen step great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews and their children.
He was preceded in death by his father and mother, John and Anna (nee Andruczyk) Catlin; siblings James Catlin, Gerald Catlin, Dolly Mongin, and Joan Burkhart.
Services will be private for the family.
