Gayhart A. Silvola, 92, passed away in Lindenhurst, IL surrounded by his family on September 21, 2024.
Gayhart was born on November 10, 1931 in Crystal Falls, MI the son of Emil and Anne (Hendrickson) Silvola. He graduated from Waukegan High School, and married Ruth on April 11, 1953 in North Chicago, IL. Gayhart was a member of St. Patrick Catholic Church where he was an usher for over 50 years, volunteered at the soup kitchen, and was a member of the Knights of Columbus. He was also a member of the Consumers Cooperative Association. He enjoyed spending time with his family, going up north to the U.P., and making holiday toys or building furniture.
Gayhart is survived by his two daughters, Ann (Dennis) Wagie, Ruth (Rick) Link; four grandchildren, Ruthie (Jeff) Hansen, Amy (Nate) Glasgow, Katie Passage, and Mark (June) Link; nine great-grandchildren, Tyler, Logan, Sophia, Travis, Kaylin, Emma, Mia, Anna, and Jacob; one brother William (Patricia) Silvola, and several nieces and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his loving wife, Ruth; parents Emil, and Anne Silvola; and brother, Robert (Patricia) Silvola.
