Gina Marie Worthington

Gina "Cricket" Marie Worthington, 64, of Kenosha, WI, formerly of Waukegan,IL and Zion, IL passed away on March 31, 2025.

Gina was born on January 12, 1961 in Waukegan, IL the daughter of Floyd and Clara Adams. She attended Waukegan East Schools before attending college. Gina married Robert Worthington on August 8, 1992 in Waukegan, IL. She was a member of Trinity Christian Center where she was active with the daycare. Gina worked at the Ann Kiley Center in Waukegan for about 6 years and ultimately retired from Little City after 35 years, her positions included production manager and work skills vocational coordinator. Gina's passion was helping kids and providing community outreach which she did alongside her sister. She also loved to spend time with her family, cook, and listen to gospel music. She also enjoyed hobbies of interior design, crafts, and selling jewelry, and playing cards.

She is survived by her children, Detrick Domyell (Beaneisha) Adams, Traves Jamal (Emma-Lee) Worthington, and Owen Shaquille Worthington; beloved grandchildren, Dazhane Marie Adams, Aaliyah Ann Adams, Brookelyn Monee Adams, Kaidan Elijah Braden, and Alena Joy Worthington; two great-grandchildren, Kaelaini Rose Mayfield and Marcus Terrell Taylor, Jr.; sisters, Victoria Elizabeth (Ralph) Adams Brown, Joyce Diane Adams, LaVora Yvonne O'Bryant, Milton Ladell Adams; and a host of nieces, nephews and cousins. 

Gina was preceded in death by her parents, Floyd and Clara Ann (nee Hughes) Adams; and a brother, Floyd Lee Adams, Jr.

A memorial service will be held at Trinity Christian Center in Zion on Monday, April 14, 2025 from 5:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
