Glenn A. Musselman, 85, of Zion, went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 13, 2011, at Rolling Hills Manor in Zion.
Glenn was born November 18, 1925, in Chicago, IL, and was a 1944 graduate of Steinmetz High School. He also was a graduate of DeForest Training School. (Now DeVry University) Glenn was a United States Navy Veteran of World War II. He married Miriam Hunt on September 16, 1950, in Zion, IL. Glenn was a former owner of the Home Agency in Zion and prior to that he worked as a lather and was affiliated with the Carpenter's Union. He was also a former member of the Zion Exchange Club. Glenn trusted God in all things and loved his family. Perseverance marked the last years of his life after he suffered a debilitating stroke.
Glenn is survived by his wife of 60 years, Miriam; daughters, Rhonda (Richard) Stasaitis of Beach Park, IL, Sandra (Timothy) Beem of Beach Park, IL, and Cynthia (Charles) Sloka of Buffalo Grove, IL; grandchildren, Christine ( Chris) Varsek, Joel Stasaitis, Kara (Matt) Melchiorre, Eric, Janel, and Michael Beem, and Alyssa and Kathryn Sloka; four great-granddaughters; sister, Betty Jo Musselman of Carol Stream, IL; sisters-in-law, Alice (Skip) Kinsman and Isabelle Hunt; numerous nieces and nephews and other family.
Glenn was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur and Grace Musselman; brother, Donald Musselman; and sister, Shirley Musselman.
A Funeral Service will be held on Tuesday, April 19, 2011, at 10:00 a.m. at Christ Community Church, 2500 Dowie Memorial Dr., Zion. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion. Visitation will be Monday, April 18, 2011, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the church.
