H.G. "Bud" Proctor Jr.

H.G. “Bud” Proctor Jr., 85, of Beach Park, IL went to be with the Lord on Wednesday, April 1, 2015 at Angels Grace Hospice in Oconomowoc, WI. Bud was born April 7, 1929 in Mt. Vernon, KY to Homer and Lillian Proctor. He graduated from Waukegan High School in 1947 and Lake Forest College in 1951. Bud married Joyce M. Kleinert on February 3, 1951, at Immanuel Baptist Church in Waukegan. (Now Immanuel Church in Gurnee.) He worked as a computer analyst with various companies including Dresser Industries, American Hospitals, Abbott Laboratories, and Baxter. Bud enjoyed playing softball and bowling on church leagues. He enjoyed summer excursions to the family summer home in Edgerton, WI and touring North America with Road Scholar, Edlerhostel. Survivors include his children, Ted (Kim) Proctor of Grandwood Park, IL, Jerry (Sherry) Proctor of Athens, AL, and Susan (Randy) Liechty of Elm Grove WI; six grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and siblings, Lois Torgersen and Dr. James Proctor, both of Memphis TN. He was preceded in death by his wife, Joyce; and parents, Homer and Lillian Proctor. A visitation will be held Monday, April 6, 2015 from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, IL. A funeral service will follow at 11:00 a.m. with Pastor Doug Carlson, officiating. Interment will be held at Northshore Garden of Memories, North Chicago. Memorial donations are suggested to the Grace Missionary Church.
