Hampton Monroe "Jackson" Golsan Jr., 65, of Winthrop Harbor, IL died on September 19, 2011 at his beloved cottage in Kenora, Ontario, Canada.
He was born April 12, 1946 in Chicago, IL. He retired from Abbott Labs after 30 years. Hampton was an adventurous outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and belonged to Walleye Unlimited Club of America.
Survivors include his wife Emily whom he married on June 14, 2011; children Carine (Vito) Alfano of Melrose Park, IL, Stephanie (David) Slade of Aiken, SC, Sasha Cormier of Alpharetta, GA, and Douglas Reno and Donovan Reno both of Zion, IL; three grandchildren Sophia Slade, Carrissa Slade, and Alexandra Cormier; and one brother-in-law Graeme Warner of Champagne, IL.
He was preceded in death by one sister Diane Warner; and his parents Hampton M. Golsan Sr. and Laurene Golsan.
A memorial visitation will be held on Sunday, October 16, 2011, from 3:00 until 5:00 p.m. at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, IL followed by a funeral at 5:00 p.m., Rev. Paige Roberts officiating. Memorial donations to American Diabetes Association in have been suggested.
