Harvey W. Williams, 63, of Waukegan, and formerly of Winthrop Harbor, died on Saturday, January 2, 2010, at Vista Medical Center East in Waukegan.
Harvey was born on November 24, 1946, in Charleston, W. VA., and was a graduate of Clear Fork High School in Colcord, W. Va. He was a veteran of the United States Army and loved to hunt and fish.
Survivors include two sons, Kevin (Dee) Williams of Fox Lake, IL, and Nathan (Cathy) Williams of McHenry, IL; granddaughter, Kaya Williams; father and mother, Ralph and Gladys Williams of Winthrop Harbor; sisters, Hilda (Jack) Palmer of Hamilton, AL, Hazel Morse of Winthrop Harbor; brother, Dean (Mary) Williams of Beaver, W.Va; sister, Hannah (Kim) Evans of Winthrop Harbor; 5 special nephews and 3 special nieces; 15 grand-nephews and grand-nieces; extended family, Fred Rogers of Waukegan and the Shea families of W. VA.
Harvey was preceded by a brother-in-law, David Morse.
A Memorial Service will be held on Thursday, January 7, 2010, at 7:00 p.m. at First Baptist Church of Winthrop Harbor, 3001 9th St, Winthrop Harbor. Friends may greet the family on Thursday from 5:00 p.m. until the time of service at the church.
