Mother Hattie Nicholson was born on December 18, 1920 to her late parents, Deacon Charlie and Ella Meredith in Cataula, GA. Hattie was the 8th child, the baby of the family. Hattie graduated from Spencer High School in Columbus, GA. Upon her move to Chicago, Il in 1944, she joined Prayer Tower Church of God, under the leadership of the late Pastor Dawson.
Hattie was married to Ernest Williams, who proceeded her in death on May 1, 1954. She met and was united in holy matrimony to Elder Henry Nicholson on February 10, 1960 and in 1963 the couple moved to Zion. She joined Rehoboth Church of God in Christ in 1982 where Elder H Eugene Jones, Sr was Pastor. She was very active in the Church, establishing many activities for the Church until failing health curtailed her actions.
Mother Hattie Nicholson leaves to morn her home going, a godson, Larry (Stephanie) Powell, Chicago, Il; a goddaughter, Deborah (Ricky) Cotton, Phoenix, AZ and a host of nieces, nephews, relatives and friends and The Rehoboth family.
Mother Hattie Nicholson was proceeded in death by her husband, Elder Henry Nicholson, 4 brothers; Henry, Collie, Clarence and Ernest; 3 sisters; Willie Bell, Charlie Mae and Dorothy Benton.
A visitation will be held on Saturday, March 12, 2016 from 10:00 until 11:00 a.m. at Rehoboth Church of God in Christ, 1001 Indiana Ave., Waukegan, IL.
