Jack Gene Baker Sr.

Jack Gene Baker Sr., 88, entered into eternal rest at 8:55 a.m., Sunday, March 27, 2016 in Waukegan, Illinois. Jack, a retired Navy Aviation Boatswain's Mate for 30 years, was born on August 7, 1927 in Aurora, IL. Survivors include his wife, Catherine Baker; two sons, Jack Baker Jr. of Florida, and Byron Baker of Zion; two daughters, Shelia Winstead of Round Lake, and Cathy Schlosser of Waukegan; two brothers, Richard Baker of Aurora, and Bruce Goble of California. He has 6 grandchildren and 14 great-grandchildren. Visitation will be held Wednesday, March 30, 2016 from 5:00 until 7:00 p.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion. A funeral service will be held Thursday, March 31, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at the funeral home with Pastor John Shumate officating. Interment with military honors will follow at Riverside Cemetery, Montgomery, IL at 1:30 p.m.
