James H. Fruit

James H. Fruit, 80, of Zion, IL passed away Tuesday, February 25, 2020. James proudly served his country as a member of the United States Marine Corps. For 70 years, he was committed to building model airplanes. In his later years, he was awarded 1st place in the National Competitions for his craftsmanship. The friendships that James built he held dearly. The family would like to thank all of those who befriended him in the years he spent in Zion. James is survived by his children, Jeff (Trava) Fruit and Bill (Catherine) Fruit; and 6 grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his wife of 29 years, Patricia. Services will be private for the family.
