James S. Kuhler

James S. Kuhler (aka Jim), age 78, went to be with our Lord and surrounded by his family on Friday, February 8, 2019. He was born on October 20, 1940 in Sioux City, Iowa. He was adopted by Joyce (aka JB) and Zoe Kuhler and brought home April 11, 1941. Jim always referred to this date as his "homecoming" day, which he celebrated every year. Jim was a career Navy man and he took pride in his service. He retired in 1983 and went on to work at ComEd for over 10 years before retiring in 2003. Jim married the love of his life, Fely, on February 11, 1978. Their blended family includes four children. Jim is survived by his loving wife Fely nee Andrada, Children: Russell, Charlene (Dan), King, and Christina, his grand daughters Zoe and Olivia, and nephews and nieces. Jim was known for his generosity and servants heart and impacted many lives over the years.

Celebration of Life services will be held Wednesday, February 13, 2019 at Trinity Christian Center located at 2600 Lewis Avenue in Zion, Illinois. Visitation will be from 5pm-6pm, with the service following immediately after. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Trinity Christian Center's building fund. Jim was most dedicated to the expansion of his home church.
