Janet Ceskowski (nee Roth) 1953 - 2014. Heaven became a bit brighter and Earth a bit dimmer when Jan Ceskowski met her Messiah, Jesus Christ, on November 1, 2014.
Jan had visited Jerusalem twice and was anxious to see her New Jerusalem, the heavenly home of all those how have trusted Jesus Christ. Jan, having fought metastatic breast cancer for five years said, "My faith has no boundaries." Jan was an adventurer, whether hiking the Tetons and Alps, diving the Caribbean, sailing Lake Michigan, or flying co-pilot out of Waukegan. She loved nature walks, crafting, biking, swimming, reading, canoeing, and cooking. Jan's contagious smile, sense of humor and care for others, won her a multitude of friends wherever she traveled. Her best friend is Jesus Christ, a fellow Jew, the Lord of Lords.
Jan attended DePaul University and worshiped at Immanuel Church in Gurnee. She pursued a long career at Norstates Bank in Waukegan, serving as Branch Manager and Assistant Vice President.
Jan's immediate surviving family members include, Steve Ceskowski, her husband of 42 years; loving daughters, Hannah Ceskowski and Sharon Ceskowski; and brothers, Harry Roth and Gary Roth.
Jan would have you support the Susan G. Komen Breast Cancer Research Fund. A celebration of Jan's life will be held in Spring.
