Jeanette J. Lindahl, 93, of Beach Park, died on Friday, January 18, 2008 at Vista Medical Center East in Waukegan.
Jeanette was born August 25, 1914 in Grass Lake, Illinois and grew up in Zion. For many years she worked as a Hair Stylist at Mary's Magic Scissors in Highland Park. She later earned her Nursing certificate at Victory Memorial Hospital in Waukegan. After working at Illinois Masonic Hospital in Chicago, she finished her career at Highland Park Hospital. She was also Past Worthy Matron of Campbell Chapter, Order of Eastern Star, Highland Park. Jeanette enjoyed home decorating, gardening and was a devoted mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and great-great-grandmother.
Survivors include her two sons, Richard (Evelyn) Lindahl of Flagler Beach, Florida and Eric (Michaeleen) Lindahl of Hampton Cove, Alabama; five grandchildren, Debbie Evans of McHenry, Illinois, Lynette Lindahl of Delray Beach, Florida, Michael Lindahl of Zion, Brian (Kim) Lindahl of Daytona Beach, Florida and Ericka Lindahl of Bloomingdale, Illinois; seven great-grandchildren; three-great-great-grandchildren; and her brother, William Jackson of Zion.
She was preceded in death by two brothers, Theodore and Alex Jackson; one sister, Esther Lindahl; and her parents, Michael Shriver Jackson and Louise Carrie (nee Simons) Jackson.
A memorial service will be held on Wednesday, January 23, 2008, at 11:00 a.m. at North Prairie United Methodist Church, 5000 W. 9th Street, Winthrop Harbor, Illinois with Pastor Ronald Green officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to North Prairie United Methodist Church have been suggested.
