Joan Lucy

Joan A. Lucy, age 88, of Zion, Il went home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Wednesday December 4, 2024. Joan was born on February 24, 1936, daughter of the late Clarence and Margaret Wright. She was a graduate of Zion Benton High School. In 1956 she married Dwayne Lucy. Joanie as she was affectionately called, was primarily a homemaker although spent time working at the family business, Lucy’s Appliances, Inc. Faith and family were foremost in her life. Joan & Dwayne loved vacationing in Cozumel during the cold Illinois winters.

She is survived by her three sons, David (Mary Ellen), Dean (Colleen), and Daniel (Rita) Lucy. Five grandchildren, Dustin Lucy (Ruja), Dana Soares (Leon), Lauren Groblewski (Todd), Corin Slabaugh (Matt) and Caity Carlson (Stephen). 3 great-grandchildren, Jack Groblewski, Luke Groblewski & Lydia Carlson. One brother John (Judy) Wright.

She is also survived by other relatives and friends. Graveside services were private with interment at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park.
