Joe Swartz

Joe L. Swartz Joe L. Swartz, 76, of Beach Park, died on Wednesday, October 24, 2007 at Vista Medical Center East in Waukegan. Joe was born December 23, 1930 in Chicago. He was a graduate of Zion-Benton Township High School and attended University of Missouri for two years. A Veteran, Joe served with the United States Army, stationed in Korea, achieving the rank of Sergeant. He was employed over the years at Warwick Electronics Cherry Electric and he owned and operated Lake County RC Hobbies of Beach Park. Joe was also a member of Lake County Radio Control Club. Survivors include siblings John (Judith) Swartz of Beach Park, Charles (Judith) Swartz of Minoqua, Wisconsin, Judy of Reinke of Zion and Edward (Dianne) Swartz of Waukegan; and many nieces, nephews and other extended family members. He was preceded in death by his father and mother Rockwell and Gladys Swartz; and one nephew Kendall J. Swartz. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, October 30, 2007, at 7:00 p.m., at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 5:00 p.m. until time services at the Congdon Funeral Home.
