John Matson

John Howard Matson, 68, of Waukegan, IL, passed away on October 20, 2024.John was born November 7, 1955 in Waukegan, IL. He graduated from Waukegan Township High School with the class of 1973. He went on to be a Journeyman Carpenter and Millwright. John was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Waukegan.He is survived by his daughter, Melicia Jones; grandchildren, Jospeh, Hayley, McKayla, Austin and Rylee; sister, Susan (David) Johansen; niece Brenda Johansen; nephew, Alan (Laurie) Johansen; a great-niece and 3 great nephews.He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard and Florence Matson; and a brother, Brian Matson.A memorial service will take place on Friday, November 8, 2024 at 2:00 p.m. at North Shore Garden of Memories, North Chicago, IL
