1929 — January 31, 2015

Joseph J. Lucchesi, 85, of Beach Park, IL died on Saturday, January 31, 2015 at Aurora Hospital in Kenosha, WI. He was born May 27, 1929 and raised in Evanston, IL. After marrying Allyn Ziert of Chicago on Valentines Day in 1970 they lived in Wilmette for twenty-five years, moving to Winthrop Harbor in 1995 and have lived the past five years in Beach Park. Joseph served in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict and was stationed at Ft. Sheridan. He was an active member of Our Lady of Humility Church of Beach Park. He retired as a Supervisor from the City of Evanston Parks Dept. He was also a member of Knights of Columbus. Survivors include daughter Elizabeth J. (Timothy) Drentlaw of Grain Valley, MO; two grandchildren Joshua and Jakob; and sister-in-law Nancy. He was preceded in death by his wife Allyn in 2012; one son John Joseph Lucchesi; one brother Andrew Lucchesi; and his parents Andrea and Giulia Lucchesi. Visitation will be Wednesday, February 4, 2015, from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion, and on Thursday, February 5th, from 9:00 a.m. until time of Mass. Mass of Christian Burial will be Thursday, February 5th, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Humility Church, 10655 W Wadsworth Road, Beach Park, IL. Interment services will be at All Saints Cemetery, DesPlaines, IL on Thursday at 2:00 p.m.
