Joseph Michael Ramis, 43, of Kenosha, WI, passed away peacefully on Thursday, October 20, 2016, at Hospice House with his family by his side after a battle with colon cancer.
He was born May 7, 1973 in Blue Island, IL, grew up in Turtle Lake, WI, and had lived in West LaFayette, IN and Parrish, FL before moving back to Kenosha 9 years ago. Joe graduated in 1991 from Turtle Lake High School. In 1995 he received his Bachelors in Science from Purdue University. He married Jennifer Knoerr on June 12, 2004 in Dade City, FL. He was a member of Westosha Lake Church, Paddock Lake, WI. Joe was a hardworking employee of Inlanta Mortgage Co., Waukesha, WI, where he was currently Senior Vice President of Recruiting. A special thanks to Inlanta for all the support shown to Joe. The family also wishes to express their sincere appreciation to the Aurora Cancer Center for their compassion and care.
Joe was a very outgoing person and had a heart of gold, always offering to help anyone in anyway he could. He loved playing golf, going fishing, watching sports (Boiler Up), and enjoying time with family and friends. Joe had so many dedicated friends who loved him and remained loyal and true to him, too many to list in our grief that we would not want to miss but you are forever in our lives and hearts. Thank you for all the help during his difficult time.
Survivors include his loving wife of 12 years, Jennifer; and will be deeply missed by their two children, Nicole (age 15) and Emma (age 11).
He is also survived by his father and mother Michael and Janet Ramis of Chetek, WI; siblings Rebecca (Don) Hajek of Chetek, WI, Elizabeth (Steve) Riesterer of Minneapolis, MN, Michael (Tasha) Ramis of Chippewa Falls, WI, and Amanda (Matt) Kalisz of Sparta, WI; sister-in-law Stephanie (Josh) Hill of Kenosha, WI; father–in-law and mother-in-law Dave and Ruth Knoerr of Kenosha, WI; nieces and nephews Kimberly Hajek, Luke Hajek, Camryn Ramis, Carson Ramis, Adisyn Ramis, Jacob Kalisz, Issac Ramis, Ryan Hill, and Austin Hill; and one uncle Lawrence Ramis and family of Clayton, WI.
