Joyce E. Moon, 78, of Winthrop Harbor, IL, passed away on Friday, November 3, 2017 at Vista Hospital East.
She was born on January 14, 1939 in Waukegan, IL, the daughter of the late Noah and Mildred Gonyo Hensley. She was educated in the schools of Waukegan. Following High school she studied to be a Registered Nurse and graduated in Seattle, WA. She eventually moved back to Lake County where she met and married Guy Moon. He preceded her in death in 1993.
Joyce had a long career as Registered Nurse, caring for many people for over 25 years until her retirement from Vista Health Care.
Surviving Joyce are many family members from the Gonyo and Moon side of the family.
A visitation will be held at the Congdon Funeral Home 3012 Sheridan Rd. Zion, IL on Wednesday November 8th from 9:30 a.m. until time of service at 12:00 noon.
Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park Cemetery, Zion, IL.
