Judith Gibbs

Judith Marie Gibbs, 85, passed away on September 6, 2024 in Zion, Illinois surrounded by her daughter and two of her grandchildren. She was born on July 19, 1939 in Chicago, Illinois. She married the love of her life, Chester Gibbs, Sr. on February 7, 1959. 

Judith dedicated her life to loving and caring for her three children, and going on to care for her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Judith was an avid bingo player and enjoyed reading in her free time. She lived her life to the fullest, never took anything for granted, and loved her family with everything she had. 

Judith is survived by her children, Rhonda (Terry) Imroth, Sandra (Rich) Chamernik, and Chester Gibbs, Jr.; Grandchildren, Nikki (Jason) Gold, Jennifer (Ryan) Koesser, Kristy (Lance) Styden, Brittney (Jayson) Hill, Samantha (Dave) Tomasello, Casey (Lewis) Spencer, Jean-Marie, Dustin Gibbs, and Kelly Gibbs; 12 Great Grandchildren, Brianna, Gio, Skylar, Peyton, Brooklyn, Noah, and Charlotte; and siblings, Aubrey Danks, Myrna (Wade) Gray, Kenneth (Wendy) Allbee, Larry (Polly) Allbee, Ric (Linda) Allbee, Bonnie (Troy) Jensen and many brother and sister in laws, nieces and nephews. 

Judith is preceded in death by her husband Chester Gibbs, Sr.; mother, Dolly Danks; Siblings, Donald Allbee, Carol (Tex) Willings, David Allbee, and Shirley Callahan; and Sister-in-Laws, Barbara Danks and Janis Allbee.

A memorial visitation will be held on Thursday, September 12, 2024 at 5pm until 8pm at Congdon Funeral Home 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, Illinois 60099. Grave side service will be held on Friday, September 13, 2024 at Northshore Garden of Memories, 1801 Greenbay Rd, North Chicago, Illinois 60064 at 11am.
