Judy Ocenosek (nee Grubbs), 63, of Zion, IL died August 10, 2016, at home with her family by her side.
Judy was born November 3, 1952 in Waukegan, IL, grew up in North Chicago, and lived in Zion for the past 38 years. She and her loving husband Gary enjoyed planting her flowers every year in their garden. Judy enjoyed going to her camper in Savannah, IL for over 20 years where she enjoyed relaxing and fishing. Judy enjoyed singing and listening to country music.
She is survived by her husband of 31 years, Gary; son, William (Tara) Lindner of Zion; 5 grandchildren, William James John Lindner, Avonell Ruby Lindner, Patricia Willes, Stephanie Willes, and Diane Willes; siblings, Joyce Grubbs of Winthrop Harbor, Charlotte (Tim) Salica of Kenosha, Barbara Hendrickson of Kenosha, Janet L. (John Mukka) Grubbs of Kenosha, Kimberly Jarrett of Kenosha, and William (Michelle Badham) Grubbs Jr of Kenosha; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father and mother William and Avonell (nee Stollings) Grubbs Sr.; and a sister Bessie Denis.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, August 14, 2016 from 5:00 until 8:00 p.m. at the Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion. A funeral service will be held on Monday, August 15, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Spirit of Life Church, 1222 Lorelei Drive, Zion, with Sister Phyllis Miller, officiating. Interment will follow at Northshore Garden of Memories, North Chicago.
