Julian Palacios Jr.

Julian Palacios Jr., 83, of Beach Park died February 4, 2015 at his home with his daughter and grandchildren at his side. Julian was born June 4, 1931 in Falfurrias, Texas. He served with the United States Army during the Korean Conflict. He worked in civil service at Ft. Sheridan until retirement. Julian is survived by his children, Julian Palacios III of Las Vegas, NV, and Theresa C. (Brett) Konken of Beach Park, IL; four grandchildren Danielle (Brett) Behnke of Beach Park, Thomas (Nikki) Streib of Winthrop Harbor, Heather (Dylan Florio) Streib, and Angela (Antoine) Riley of Waukegan; thirteen great-grandchildren, Alyssa, Jayla, Aidan, Brodey, Anthony Julian, Kyler, Chloe, Kyleigh Cristela, Mason, Isaiah, Elisha, Antoine Jr., and Aniyah; siblings Meme Garza, Oscar Palacios, Rolando (Elvia) Palacios, Gloria Palacios, Vidal (Marylou) Palacios, Rudolfo (Cris) Palacios, Adalberto (Yolanda) Palacios, and Alvar (Laurene Johnson) Palacios; and many nieces, nephews, and other relatives. He was preceded in death by his father Julian Palacios in 1962; mother Cristela (nee Trevino) Palacios in 1999; sister Esmerelda, brothers-in-law Leonel Del Bosques and Crispin Garza; sister-in-law Mary Palacios; and ex-wife Teresa Murphy Palacios. There will not be any services locally. The family has chosen cremation and the burial of his ashes will take place this summer in his hometown of Falfurrias, Texas, in the family plot.
