Julio Ignacio Garcia Alvarez

Julio Ignacio Garcia Alvarez 62, of Beach Park, IL passed away on November 9, 2021. He was born in Cuba on January 21, 1959 the son of Baldomero Garcia Fajardo and Ignacia Alvarez Carballeira. Julio studied college in Russia where he received a bachelors in computer Science before coming to the United States where he settled in Oak Park, IL and then later to Beach Park,IL. He worked for Plexus as a computer technician. Julio enjoyed reading history books, and biographies about Cuba and Spain. If he wasn't at work fixing computers and taking things apart you would find him at home working on electronics listening to American 70's music. Julio leaves behind his wife, Kathleen O'Brien; son, Diego (Laura) Garcia; siblings, Anicia Garcia, Eduardo Jesus Garcia, Jorge Garcia; nieces, nephews, cousins; and Aunt Maria and Uncle Guillermo. Julio is preceded in death by his parents. A Memorial Visitation will be held on Tuesday, November 16, 2021 from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m. at Congdon Funeral Home located at 3012 Sheridan Rd, Zion, IL 60099.
