Kathy Dulaney

Kathy “Kat” Dulaney, 57, of Zion, IL, died unexpectedly of natural causes on Thursday, October 22, 2015, at Vista Medical Center East in Waukegan. Kathy was born March 2, 1958, in Waukegan, IL, and was a member of the First Congregational United Church of Christ in Waukegan. She had been employed as a General Manager for many years at several Wendy’s restaurants in Lake County. Kathy loved riding her motorcycle, taking care of her beloved dogs and cats, and spending time with her children, grandchildren, and nieces and nephews. Survivors include her wife of 25 years, Mary Lodes; son, Chuck Dulaney of Queen Creek, AZ; daughter, Mikki Brown of Beloit, WI; son, John (Stephanie) Lodes of Nixa, MO; sister, Roxanne Cantu of Waukegan, IL; grandchildren, Jimmy Brown, Caty Brown, Jacob Lodes, Nate Brown, David Brown, Tyra Lodes, and Brooklyn Lodes; sister-in-law, Helen (Dick) Schumitsch; brother-in-law, Ron Devey; uncle, Sonny (Patsy) Pressnall of Zion, IL; and many nieces and nephews and extended family. She was preceded in death by her mother, Joyce Dulaney; sister, Debbie Dulaney; grandson, Dylan Dulaney; brother-in-law, Steve Sutton; and aunts, Birdell “Birdie” Dulaney and Josephine “Joey” Esperson. Visitation will be Tuesday, October 27, 2015, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, IL. A Funeral Service will be held on Wednesday, October 28, 2015, at 10:30 a.m. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion.
