Mary Kathryn Goble, 77, of Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin, passed away August 28, 2024. She was born November 10, 1946 in Terre-Haute, Indiana to parents Joe and Ruth Fetters.
Kay grew up in Marshall, Illinois, graduating from Marshall High School and attended Terre-Haute Commercial College in Indiana. She was a member of the Faith Center Church In Ft. Myers, Florida and retired from Paralegal work. She was involved deeply with the USS Whetstone Association where she and Marion coordinated Military Reunions throughout the US for over 20 years. She was involved in the church as a Servant Leader of God and was a member of Aglow International.
Kay was a cherished individual and devoted mother, whose life was a testament to her commitment to her family and her faith in Jesus Christ. Raised in a rural community of Marshall, Illinois, Kay shared a deep and enduring bond with her sister, Pat. Kay met her soul mate, Marion, in Martinsville, Illinois. They were married March 25, 1967. Together they moved to Decatur, Illinois where they built their life, found their faith, and embraced the values that guided their lives and relationships. These values also made her a beloved friend to many.
Kay and Marion were blessed with two remarkable sons, whom they nurtured with strong spiritual and moral principles. Their upbringing reflected the values Kay held dear. After raising their family, Kay and Marion relocated to Ft. Myers, Florida to enjoy their retirement in comfort. Following Marion’s passing, Kay moved to Wisconsin to be close to her sons, continuing to be a source of love and inspiration in their lives as well as many others.
Kay is survived by her sons, Dwight (Renee) Goble and Bradley (Stacy) Goble; grandchildren, Kailah Goble, Andrew Reynolds, Bradley Goble Jr., Leanna Goble, Makenzie Kooi, Madison Kooi, and Devin Kooi; great-grandchildren, Aiden Tiemann and Camila Rueda; sister, Pat Mozley and nephew, Mark Taylor.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Marion Goble; and parents Joe and Ruth Fetters.
Graveside service will be held at Camp Butler National Cemetery in Springfield, IL on Monday, September 16 at 12 noon with a luncheon to follow.
