Kenneth Meyers

Ken Meyers of Zion, Illinois passed away August 12, 2024. Ken was born June 16, 1932, in Canton, Ohio to Lawrence and Mary Meyers.

Ken was previously from Lindenhurst, Gurnee and LaGrange Illinois. June 16, 1979, Ken married the love of his life, Gail. An accomplishment Ken was very proud of was his bachelor’s degree from the University of Akron in mechanical engineering. Ken was employed with Baxtor Laboratories as an engineer for many years. He was a member of St. Paul’s Lutheran Church in Waukegan and was also in the Choir. Ken was also a member of a local wood working group and PADS of Lake County. He enjoyed working with his close pals, making windsor chairs, mallards, spoons, cutting boards and stained-glass window creations. Another joy of Ken’s was spending time with his new pal Joe Heim from the VFW talking army and anything military. 

Ken is survived by his children, Meagan Dunn (Larry), Mitch Meyers, Torin Meyers, Kameron Meyers and Amanda Meyers; grandchildren, Janssen Dunn and Keaten Dunn; siblings, Pam Amatangelo and Jeff Tate and other relatives, Delwyn and Nancy Peterson. 

He is preceded in death by his wife, Gail; his parents, Lawrence and Mary Meyers and his brother in law, Ronny Amatangelo.
