Leo Linsky

1933 — July 27, 2016

Leo Linsky, age 83, of Pleasant Prairie, WI, passed away on July 27, 2016, at his residence. He was born April 22, 1933, in Waukegan, IL, and was the son of the late Walter Linsky and Bernice (Salcius) Linsky. Leo graduated from Waukegan Township High and spent the next two years in Trade School. Prior to finishing his schooling, Leo enlisted in the U.S. Army. Corporal Linsky served out his tour until the end of the Korean War. After returning to the States, Leo began his apprenticeship while finishing 3 more years of Trade School to become Superintendent /Estimator in the field of Commercial Plumbing and Heating. He fell in love and married his high school sweetheart, Donna Ash and they raised four children together. After this devoted father and husband retired, he enjoyed spending time between his home in Pleasant Prairie and his much loved property in Chetek, WI. Leo was a true Outdoorsman. Leo left behind his loving family and friends; his one true love and best friend, Donna; children, Terry (Jennifer Hendrix) Linsky, Kevin (Lynda) Linsky, Tanya (John) Lauderdale, and Dean (Suzy) Linsky; siblings, Walter (Phyllis) Linsky Jr., Dolores Pankratz, and and Raymond Linsky; granddaughters, Karma (Raph), Krysten (Alex), Tara (Ryan), Aleese (Jeff), and Nicole; great-grandchildren, Ava H. and Benny S.; numerous nephews and nieces and a multitude of friends. Though he will be missed dearly by all, Leo is at peace and out of pain and in the loving arms of our heavenly father. Visitation will be held on Thursday, August 4, 2016, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, IL. Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, August 5, 2016, at 10:00 a.m. at St. Dismas Catholic Church, 2600 Sunset Ave., Waukegan, IL, with interment following at Ascension Catholic Cemetery, Libertyville. IL. In lieu of flowers, please send a donation to the City of Hope Cancer Hospital in Duarte, CA, in honor of his daughter, Tanya.
