1934 — October 23, 2014

Leroy (Roy) A. Berg, 80, of Nixa, MO, formerly of Beach Park, IL, departed this earth to be with his Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on October 23, 2014, at home with his loving family. He was born February 27, 1934, in Lake City, MN, to Harry and Louise Berg. He graduated from Waukegan High School in 1952 and was employed at Johnson Motors, a division of Outboard Marine Corporation, in Waukegan for 32 years, retiring in 1986. The loves of his life, aside from Donna and his family, were coaching youth softball and baseball, traveling the western United States, and fellowshipping with his many dear, lifelong friends from Beach Bible Church. Upon retirement, Roy and Donna lived out Roy's dream of building a beautiful home on a mountainside in Cimarron, CO, where they lived for 20 years prior to moving to Nixa, MO. Roy is survived by his son Jeff (Debbie) Berg of Winthrop Harbor, IL, and daughters Cindy (Daniel) Woodward of Dwight, IL, and Chris (Tim) Clark of Zion, IL; seven grandchildren--Jeff (Jennifer) Berg, Jr., Rachel (Austin) Merriott, Brianne Asaro, Jordan (MaryAnn) Clark, Rebekah (Micah) McCurry, Jessica Clark, and RuthAnne Woodward; and eight great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Harry and Louise Berg and great grandson Nickolas.
