Letha Baxter

Letha Ann Baxter (nee Morris), 93, of Zion, IL passed away on Sunday, September 2, 2012 at Rolling Hills Manor Nursing Home in Zion. She was born March 13, 1919 in Kirksville, MS and has lived in Zion for the past 64 years. She attended Lakeview Church, Grace Missionary Church, and Zion Bible Church. She was employed for many years at the Zion Curtain Factory. Survivors include children Marvanelle Henderson of Zion, IL, John W. Baxter of Clarksville, TN, and Joseph L. (Kim) Baxter of Salem, OH; twelve grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and siblings Margaret Stegall of Tupelo, MS and Wilson Morris of Fulton, MS. She was preceded in death by her husband Hershel Baxter; one sister and three brothers; and her parents Doc Wheeler Morris and Nolia Morris. A cemetery chapel service will be held on Friday, September 7, 2012, at 11:00 a.m. at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, 1436 Kenosha Road, Zion, IL, with entombment to follow. In lieu of flowers memorial donations to Rolling Hills Manor Nursing Home in her memory have been suggested.
