Lillian V. Johnson (nee Sather), 78, of Zion, Illinois passed away August 6, 2010 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin. Lillian was born January 11, 1932 in Independence, Wisconsin where she lived until she moved to Highland Park, Illinois in 1950. She moved to Tecumseh, Michigan in 1959, then to Twin Lakes, Wisconsin in 1962, and finally to Zion, Illinois in 1976. Lillian attended the Elementary Schools of Trempealeau County from 1937 until 1946 and graduated from Trempealeau County High School in 1950. She married Nicholas P. Johnson on May 8, 1954. Lillian was a member of the Lookout Lutheran Church in Mondovi, Wisconsin. She had been employed by the Glencoe Phone Company, Regal China and the Hillcrest Nursing Home. Lillian is survived by her children and grandchildren, Bruce Johnson; Pamela (Mike) Johnson and their children Michelle and Nicole; Rebecca (Shawn) Rentmeester and their children Amie, Robert, Amanda, Elizabeth and Sheldon; Linda (Jim) Spapperi and their children Bethany, Carrie, David and Cody; Peter Johnson; Cathy (Alan) Huset and their children Denise and Alan Jr.; and Doreen (Paul) Cortesi and their son Matthew. She also leaves to cherish her memory 15 great-grandchildren Vincenzo, Steven, Victoria, Leah, David, Korey, Joshua, Emily, Brandon, Bryan, Brianna, Leslie, Lindsey, Makayla and Kyra. Lillian was preceded in death by her Husband Nicholas P. Johnson; brothers and sisters, Leon, Odin, Sigvald, Ervin, Norval, Laverne, Helen, Vivian, Frances and Margaret; her father and mother Helmer and Ella B. Sather and one great-granddaughter Madison. Services for Lillian will take place in her hometown of Independence, Wisconsin and will be private for her family.
