Lillian E. (nee Stoskus) 84, of Zion, IL, died on Tuesday, November 11, 2014, at the Pavilion of Waukegan. Lillian was born July 25, 1930, in Chicago, lL, and grew up in the Brighton Park neighborhood until 1959 and moved to North Chicago for one year before settling in Zion on August 1, 1960, with her husband, Robert. Lillian married Robert on November 1, 1952, in Chicago. She was a member of Our Lady of Humility Church in Beach Park where she was a former Treasurer, Vice President, and President of the OLH Mothers Club. Lillian graduated Cum Laude with an Associates Degree from the College of Lake County in accounting. She taught cake decorating at Waukegan Evening School and worked as a clerk and peer tutor for the College of Lake County.
Survivors include her husband of 62 years, Robert; children, Mary Kasper of Kenosha, WI, Marilyn Smith of Zion, IL, Robert Kasper Jr., Kenneth (Marie) Kasper of Almond, WI, and Diane (Bill) McGoldrick of Las Vegas, Nevada; 7 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Paula Farell of Bolingbrook, lL; niece, Linda Osinski of Virginia; 3 nephews, Theodore, Michael, and Steven Caeser; sister-in-law, Barbara (Tom) Caeser, of Illinois; and many cousins.
Lillian was preceded in death by her father and mother, Stanley and Emily Stoskus; daughter, Marion Gutka; and granddaughter, Susan Percy.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday, November 15, 2014, at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Humility Church, 10655 W. Wadsworth Rd., Beach Park, IL. Interment will be at All Saints Cemetery, Pleasant Prairie, WI. Visitation will be Friday, November 14, 2014, from 6:00-8:00 pm. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, IL. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are suggested to the Alzheimer's Foundation.
