Linda J. Underwood, 58, of Winthrop Harbor, IL, formerly of Adrian, MI, went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, March 26, 2013, surrounded by her family at home.
Linda was born October 10, 1954, in Kalamazoo, MI, and married David Underwood on August 1, 1971, in Gobles, MI. She was an active member of Biblical Baptist Church in Beach Park, IL, where she taught Sunday School and worked as a teacher's aid at the church school. Linda Underwood was a woman of faith who walked with God, loved her family, and was dedicated to serving others. She would have no greater joy than to know that her family and those that knew her learned to walk with God as well. She was our angel here on earth, and she will be greatly missed. We are comforted in knowing that because of Jesus and his resurrecting power we will be reunited with her again, in our future family home.
Survivors include her husband of 42 years, David; daughters, Janet (David) Corbin of Beach Park, IL, Amy (Jon) Crawford of Prescott Valley, AZ, and Shannon Underwood of Crown Point, IN; grandchildren, Kyle, Rhylie, Nathan, and Joel Corbin, and Diana and Daniel Crawford; father, Dale (Marise) Cooper of Lawton, MI; brother, Dale (Joyce) Cooper; sisters, Ina (Bob) Reynolds, Nancy (Larry) Augustyn, and Patsy (Danny) Wall; brother, Gary (Becky) Cooper; sister, Sharon (Michael) Bearrs; and brother, Robert (Allison) Cooper. Also surviving are numerous nieces and nephews and other family.
She was preceded in her mother, Laverna Cooper; and father-in-law and mother-in-law, Paul and Evelyn Underwood.
