Lorraine Erickson

Lorraine Erickson (nee Langel), 85, of Zion, IL went to her heavenly home on Tuesday, February 16, 2016. She was born April 5, 1930 in Chippewa Falls, WI. She married Merle Erickson on January 10, 1948. She was a member of Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church in Waukegan, IL. Before retiring, she worked at The Globe Department Store in Antioch, IL. She enjoyed reading, crocheting and quilting, She had a great love for all animals, most especially her two cats and any spare ones that found their way to her door. Survivors include her children, Randy (Cyndi) Erickson, of Goodyear, AZ and Cathy (Dennis) Crowley of Beach Park, IL; grandchildren Kristine, Heidi, Sean, Daniel, Rian; 8 great-grandchildren; and her sister, Audrey (Robert) Stuart of Rapid City, SD. She was preceded in death by her parents, Fred and Gertrud Langel, her husband, Merle and her brother, Ronald Langel. Visitation will be on Friday, February 19, 2016 at 4:00 at Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church, 1310 N. Frolic, Waukegan, IL, with a memorial service at 5:00 followed by a light meal for family and friends. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Immanuel Evangelical Lutheran Church.
