Lowell Frost "Jack" Lowell "Jack" Frost, 86, of Zion, IL, died on Tuesday, August 4, 2009, at home.
Jack was born September 1, 1922, in Red Bay, AL. He married Hilda "Tean" Moses on September 21, 1957 in Iuka, MS. Jack was retired from Abbott Laboratories. He also worked for Allegro Bay Motor Homes in Red Bay for about 20 years. Jack's hobbies included building and driving race cars. He won many races in the Midwest area.
Survivors include his son, Tommy Frost of AL; three "special" children, Darlene Newman of Zion, Greg (Cony) Frost of Surprise, AZ, and Mike Frost of Pleasant Prairie, WI; and numerous nieces and nephews and cousins.
Jack is preceded in death by his loving wife in their "Marriage meant to be", Hilda "Tean" Frost in 1999; father and mother, Ezekiel and and Lela Frost; brothers, Abner, Boyce, Onnie, Lloyd, Hollis, Paul, and C.T.; and sisters, Virginia, Fannie Sue, Hazel, and Zeleta Mae.
A Funeral Service will be held on Friday, August 7, 2009, at 10:30 a.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, with Rodney Johnson, officiating. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion. Visitation will be Thursday, August 6, 2009, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorial donations are suggested to the Zion Moose #667, Zion, IL.
