Luella Wenrich of Zion, Illinois died on Sunday, November 28, 2010 at Clare Bridge Brookdale Senior Living Center in Kenosha, Wisconsin.
Luella was born in Clear Lake, Wisconsin and lived most of her life in the Zion-Winthrop Harbor area. She graduated from Pestalozzi-Froebel Teachers College in Chicago with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Teaching and received her Masters Degree in Library Science from Rosary College in River Forest, Illinois. Luella retired as Librarian from Central Junior High School in Zion and prior to that was Librarian at Westfield School in Winthrop Harbor.
Survivors include children, DeeMoan (Danny) Haile of Beach Park, Illinois and Spencer (Cathy) Jury Sr. of Kenosha, Wisconsin; seven grandchildren, Clint (Angela) Pushee of Evansville, Wisconsin, Erik (Melanie) Hansen of Vacaville, California, Spencer Jury Jr. of Chicago, Illinois, Christina Hansen of Chicago, Illinois, Stacie (Paul) Brettner of Mundelein, Illinois, Kevin (Amy) Hansen of Kenosha, Wisconsin and Maureen Hansen of Kenosha, Wisconsin; four great-grandchildren, Nolan Brettner, Reagan Brettner, Anna Hansen and Molly Hansen; and siblings, Malcolm (Jennie) Bachler of Superior, Wisconsin, Marvin (Carol) Bachler of Springfield, Missouri and Della Smith of Clarksdale, Arizona.
She was preceded in death by her parents, August and Lulla Bachler.
Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at 1:00 p.m. at the CONGDON FUNERAL HOME, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion. Visitation will be Wednesday from 11:00 a.m. until time of services at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion.
