Margaret Ann Lowry, 78, of Waukegan passed away peacefully January 10, 2014 at home after a 15 year battle with dementia. Margaret was born May 20, 1935 in Fort Frances, Ontario Canada. She was a member of St. Anastasia Church in Waukegan. Margaret retired as Accounts Payable Specialist for the Waukegan News Sun. She was a member of the Franciscan Order, director of RCIA at St. Anastasia, and a member of the American Business Women's Association. She is survived by her children Ann (Bob) Ennesser of Winthrop Harbor, Timothy Lowry of Waukegan, Patricia (John) Jeffers of Franklin, WI, and Paul (Tina) Lowry of Lake Villa; grandchildren Robert (Courtney), Steven (fiancé Becky), Lauren, Joshua (Megan), Mark (Amy), Daniel, Alexandra, and Lisa; and 5 great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband Eugene Lowry; and her parents Thomas and Florence Elliott. A funeral mass will be held on Tuesday, January 14, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Anastasia Church, 624 Douglas Ave, Waukegan, IL 60085. Interment will follow at Ascension Cemetery in Libertyville. Visitation will be held on Monday, January 13, 2014 from 6:00 until 8:00 p.m. at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd, Zion. Please visit the online guest book at www.congdonfuneralhome.com.
