Maria D. Facundo

Maria D. Facundo, 85, passed away surrounded by her loved ones on August 10, 2024.

She was born on October 30, 1938, in Sabinas Hidalgo, Nuevo Leon Mexico the daughter of Jose Gonzalez, and Maria Echazarreta. 

Maria loved to sew, listen to music, dance and cook. Her favorite thing to do is make tamales. She was well known for making the best tamales. 

She leaves behind to cherish her memory her loving husband, Jose Facundo; children Mario (Maria) Facundo, Maria D. Facundo, Jose (Patricia) Facundo, Sergio (Cordelia) Facundo, and Miriam Facundo; grandchildren, Margarita, Myrna, Mario Jr., Roel, Nancy, Joel, Adrian, Yaritza, Lita, Cecy, Yareli, Daniel, Sara, Jose (Pepe), Vanessa, Abigail, Aaron; eighteen great-grandchildren; siblings, Manuela, Manuel, Isaac, Ramiro, and Isabel, many nieces, nephews, and cousins. 

She is preceded in death by her parents, Jose Gonzalez, and Maria Echazarreta; siblings, Juan, Santos, Aurora, Maria de Jesus, Jose, Antonio, Margarita. 

Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 14, 2024 at Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd., Zion, IL 60099 from 5:00 p.m. until the time of the service at 7:00 p.m.
