Marion M. Heiny Jr., 75, of Winthrop Harbor died December 2, 2014 at Vista Medical Center East in Waukegan. Marion was born on February 10, 1939 in Ladysmith, WI, he moved to Chicago in 1948, in 1955 he moved to Zion from Bensenville, IL and has lived in Winthrop Harbor since 1968. Marion served in the United States Army. He was a member of Our Lady of Humility Church. He worked for Goodyear Tire & Rubber, Fansteel, and retired in 2004 from Abbott Labs. Marion was a member of the Winthrop Harbor Fire Department; the Zion Loyal order of the Moose Lodge 667; the Polish Legion of American Veterans U.S.A - General Casimir Pulaski Post 25, North Chicago; the American Legion; Winthrop Harbor V.F.W. Post; and the Abbott Weekend Wanderers. Marion is survived by his wife Aurelia; 5 children Gregory Heiny of Naples, FL, Christy Heiny of Orlando, FL, Michael Heiny, of Winthrop Harbor, Matthew (Jennifer) Heiny of Lowell, IN, and Mark (Kristin) Heiny of Winthrop Harbor; 9 grandchildren Elizabeth, Scott, Joshua, Emily, Sarah, Matthew, Trentin, Makara and Brennin; siblings Margie Johnson of Pollock, SD, Bernard (Patricia) Heiny of Lake Villa, IL, Roger (Lotte) Heiny, of Beach Park, and Joanie (Keith) Zwicke of Zion. He was preceded in death by his first wife Barbara; second wife Patricia in 2006; father and mother Marion and Ida Heiny; sister Mary Ann Langkamp; and brother Ronald Heiny. A visitation will be held on Monday, December 8, 2014 from 5:00 until 9:00 p.m. at the Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Road, Zion. Funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, December 9, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. at Our Lady of Humility Church, 10655 W Wadsworth Road, Beach Park. Interment will follow at Mt. Olivet Memorial Park, Zion.
