Martha L. Gregory

Martha “Marty” Gregory, 87, of Gurnee, IL passed away peacefully Wednesday, June 30, 2021. Marty was born August 9, 1933 in Chicago, IL to Hugh and Ruth Naylor. On August, 5 1950, she married the love of her life, William Gregory in Chicago, IL. She attended St. Mark’s Church in Waukegan and was a telephone operator at AT&T Telephone Company in Waukegan, IL. She was a volunteer for scouting and Vista Healthcare in Waukegan, IL. Marty loved sailing Lake Michigan from Chicago to Mackinac Island with her husband Bill and family friends. She enjoyed hiking, biking , cross country skiing, snow shoeing and anything outdoors. Marty is survived by her husband, William E. Gregory; daughter, Carol (Terry) Fuqua; and granddaughter, Sirena M. Chapman. She was preceded in death by her parents; and son, William K. Gregory. Memorial visitation will be held on Saturday, July 17, 2021, at St. Mark’s Lutheran Church, 3350 N. Delany Rd., Waukegan, IL 60087 from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. Memorial service will follow at 10:00 a.m.
