Mary "Jackie" Bryant, 72, of Park City, IL passed away on July 6, 2010 after a short brave battle with cancer.
She was born and raised in Waukegan on September 15, 1937. As a military wife she lived in many places including Virginia, Washington, California, Hawaii, and Mississippi. Until this summer Jackie was employed at W.J. Murphy Elementary School in Round Lake, IL as a special education paraprofessional where she was dedicated to her students. She was an avid scrap booker, a late-blooming Cubs fan, and loved her cats Mitzi and Peaches. Above all else she was a proud loving mother, grandmother, and most recently a great-grandmother. Friends note that Jackie was a strong character with a heart of gold.
She will be forever missed by her children Joan Rolbiecki, Patty Czapiewski, and Mike Bryant; her adored grandkids Megan Leicht, Charlotte and Laura Czapiewski; and her cherished great-granddaughter Aubrey Sunderland.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, July 10th from 2:00 until 5:00 pm with a memorial service at 5:00 p.m. at the Congdon Funeral Home, 3012 Sheridan Rd. Zion, IL followed by a private interment for immediate family. In lieu of flowers a memorial fund has been established in Jackie's name. Donations can be made to W.J. Murphy Elementary School, 220 Greenwood Street, Round Lake, IL 60073.
